OOPS!

I culled one of the smaller pumpkins in our patch for seeds since the
pumpkin had been attacked by beetles and was beginning to show signs of
rot. I took the seeds and spread them out to dry outside on a 2 foot by
6 foot board. When I got home from work, I realized I had left them
outside all day and when I went to look at them, there were about 12
seeds left (out of at least 150) and a scrub jay was busy coming and
going with the seeds! I watched as the seeds slowly dissappeared as the
scrub jay grabed them one by one and flew off into the neighbors yards
to bury them!

Boy, are the neighbors going to be suprised next year!

:-)
