While I disagree with your threshold for success, my 1020 - flat vine, WMV,
110 degree heat and all - produced a brilliant orange main vine fruit that
currently tapes at 296 OTT (about 540 lbs). Low and fat, very shiny,
slight ribs, taps hollow so probably weighs light, but a great looking
pumpkin nonetheless.

Hi George,
I was wondering how you made out this year with your 1020 Papez seed?
Earlier in the season you had put out an email that you had a good pumpkin
growing on that plant. I was wondering if it ever turned into a 'big'
pumpkin?
Also, are there any other growers out there that grew the 1020 Papez with
any success (ie: pumpkin over 850lbs or more?)?
Thanks,
David
