Re: Is this true?

Reminds me of a magazine article that I read last year. Apparently people
are as crazy about chucking pumpkins as we are growing them. I believe a
huge event occurs every year in the Dover area, if I am not mistaken. Huge
catapults sling pumpkins hundreds of feet in a competition. I wonder if
they have slung a giant?

Anyone have any more insight or info?

heard something about it. Believe me since we have started weighing off
these Giant Monsters I have received every kind of idea imaginable from
people in the surrounding area. Including dropping a pumpkin onto or into
all types of things from cranes or catapults, but I have never heard of
dropping one from a helicopter.

the only problem with anything from a helicopter is the downward thrust
needed to lift a helicopter adds about 100 mph of downward thrust to
whatever your dropping. I would not want to catch those ping pong balls.
