I found a great source of composted manure. They tell me that it comes
in two qualities. High quality (540 lbs Nitrogen/acre) and Ag Quality
(280 lbs Nitrogen/acre). They recommended the lower quality compost,
saying that more than 500 lbs Nitrogen/acre will kill the plants. If I
plant a cover crop of winter rye to take the edge off, will the higher
work, or should I go with the lower quality (lower quality is cheaper
too).
Many Thanks!
