How Many Pumpkin Pies in a Big Pumpkin

I get this question all the time when someone is gasping over
the sheer size of one of my large pumpkins - How many pies can
you make out of that thing??

I'd always have to say - well jeesh.... a lot!!! or something
equally as uninformed.

I found a site that researched this pressing question with
serious scientific intent.....

(for my 933 - 560 pies)  

Simply multiply the actual weight by .6 for an approximate
estimate of total pumpkin pie content.
