Record pumpkin pie

Dave,
Yes, I believe it was Bob Matthews who first corrected me and sent the
link. I called Ms. Castelli and she said she was going ahead with the
application to Guinness.
And when I told her the dimensions of the Canadian dessert, she assured
me that in order to be a pie a dessert must be round, as adamantly as
some people insist that in order to be a pumpkin a large round fruit
must be orange.
After all, she added, isn't that where pi comes from, that 3.1416 figure
we all use to determine how much cinnamon to use for our 700-pounders.
I checked out the site myself. That's not a pie, my eyes said, it's a
long brown sidewalk. But I'm no judge.
Thanks, and good eating and good growing!
Kathie
