Well I would like to thank you all for the help in growing my first pumpkin.
( I did not want to grow it but my 4 year old son nagged me into it !!) I got
a very late start and did not help it along very much and I ( he ) got 1
200lber, 1 150lber, and 2 50lbers.  Not too bad for a 4 year old who now has
his father hooked!  His uncle talked us into taking it to a small town fair
and he won 1st place!  Go figure, a 4 year old wins and gets his picture in
the local paper.  Now next year I will have to get some real seeds and my son
and I will try to grow a big pumpkin.  ( And I had better grow a bigger one
than he did otherwise I will never be able to live it down!!)

P.S. I now have my wifes permission to sacrifice part of the lawn for a " the
pumpkin"
She will not allow me to make the veggie garden bigger but we can sacrifice
the lawn for " the pumpkin "!  I think we have the start of a big pumpkin
problem!!!
