Last year some of the nice people on this list donated seed to our cause.
On Oct.25 the fruit of your seeds will be on display at the 1997 Great
Pumpkin Grow-Off & Halloween Party.
We have over 800 registered pumpkin growers this year. It looks to be a
great event this year rain or shine.
Last year we raised over $16,000 for the Food Bank. I hope we can do as
well again this year.
It will be an all day event with lots of family fun. There will be a
haunted house with real live spooks, a
haunted castle also with real live creepy people (very scary stuff), hay
rides, carnival rides, games, music and entertainment, pumpkin carving
demonstrations,lots of prises and more.
At 7:00 PM there will be a great fireworks show. 
Special guest Jack Breckenridge will be on hand to sign his book Pumpkins
Are Orange.
It all happens at  Art Knapp Plantland Nursery and Garden Center in South
Surrey B.C.
This is a non profit event. All money raised will go to the Surrey Food
Bank.

It is an easy place to find. From the USA just take Interstate 5 to Canada,
take Hwy. 99 North to
