Sorry for the typos!! I meant to say "it was exciting to, NOT ONLY get a
closeup look at the winning pumpkin, but to view the entries from mailing
list members Bill Kournikakis from MEDICINE HAT and Kurt Frederick from
Edmonton." I knew he was from Medicine Hat but my brain was thinking one
thing and my fingers were typing something else. I'm not confused, really --
it just looks that way. I hope I didn't confuse anyone else.

I also wish I could have met Will Neily, since he was there, too. Due to the
huge crowd and the crush of people trying to get into the arena all at the
same time through two small doors, I missed most of the official
announcement of winners, so I didn't even have a chance to see what any of
you look like. I had no idea what a huge event this really is. The sheer
volume of people attending was inspiring. Anyway, there's always next year
to meet list members.


P.S. Thanks for sending the newspaper article, Bill. I enjoyed it.
