The Giant Urban Pumpkin Growers of America (GUPGA) annual weigh off was
held on October 11, 1997.  The winner was Karl Cambronne (257 lbs), follwed
by Joe Anthony (136 lbs), Greg Wilmes (134 lbs), and Deborah Callahan (75
lbs.).  The winner received the usual prize of $1,000,000 (payable in equal
annual installment of $1 per year over 1 million years, without interest).
