Hello. Do pumpkins require protein?? If so, what is a good source??
Thanks
What makes you ask the question? Interesting question anyway, several types
are present in a special soil treatment I’ve been experimenting with this
year for the first time. My whole garden did better this year, got 240+ lbs.
Of Butternut from 6 plants, more even growth throughout the year with
Tomatoes and all of the Squash family. Plan more extensive testing next year
plus a Fall treatment this year. In my opinion one of my problems is that
fact that I cannot move my crops around much because of the limited space. I
believe this depletes nutrients, or whatever, that do not show up in the
traditional soil test. If you go by the standard test my soil is perfect,
but it still doesn’t do as well as it use to. Even adding large amounts of
organic matter has minimal effect. More info to follow with complete test
results by the end of August 98.
