Where's Alice

To All:

I had a very disheartening experience here this morning.  We have a produce
store on the outside of town that we sell various vegatables at over the
summer, and now we are decked out in the total pumpkin experience.   Indian
corn, gourds,  corn stalks   etc.....The centerpiece of our display is
(was) Alice.  

Alice was a perfectly shaped giant pumpkin, she weighed in at around 500
wonderfully orange pounds and looked really neat out in our yard.   This
morning we got up to find that she was gone!!!!  There were drag marks out
to the driveway where someone loaded her up and took her away.   We had to
use a front end loader to get in the yard, she was pretty hard to move.  I
can't imagine why someone would want to take her.   The sheriff is aware of
it and they are watching.  We also have an award out for her safe return.  


Sorry for taking up space, but this seemed like the best place to blab
about this.
