Upstate N.Y. pumpkin pick

I am talking central NY. Up to a few days ago my patch would have been fine
but I hope to put down rye grass today. I still have pumpkins for sale.
Otherwise try driving any secondary road around here and you can't go
wrong. Route 20 and all of the adjacent small towns are loaded with
roadside stands.

If you think upstate means the Catskills you can't go wrong on Route 17 and
almost any exit of parallel roads. Route 9 in the Hudson Valley, almost any
exit off I 88 or along Route 7 will provide the same result. Pumpkins are a
big cash crop in NY.
