Sounds like a GREAT! idea. I have not done a good enough job in this area
of pumpkin growing but obviously genentics are going to be a big part of
any successful large pumpkin.
My humble efforts have yielded four pumpkins that think are worth while as
parents. I will have seeds from:
1. 97Vico387 = Zehr793 x open (Barny)
2. 97Vico392 = Holland599 x Zehr798 (Bumpy)
3. 97Vico370 = Holland742 x open (Cinderella)
4. 97Vico225 = Zehr798 x Holland742 (Bumpy Jr.)
If I am on track I assume there will be contacts. If I am way off somebody
please help. I would be happy to pay for good seed if need be. As Marv has
said that's only a small cost contribution to this project anyway.
Ciao, John
