The first thing I'd do is get rid of your wife. If that's not an option, then shoot the horses. One way or another you're going to need a lot of space to grow a record book pumpkin.

Well folks - I have decided to do IT for the first time next year.
I'd like to know what realistic expectations are ... 200#'s, 300#'s, 500#'s
.. a world record !
I read about people bringing in truck loads of compost of which I have none.
I do have two equine manure machines in the back yard, but my wife won't give
up any of their space so I'm somewhat limited in planting area.
Any ideas on where I should start would be appreciated.
I live in Los Gatos, Northern California. Hopefully, Chris Andersen will
share some of his California Sunshine with me.
It's been fun reading about everyone's achievements and I'm excited about
producing a big one next year.
