RE: What is the Top 1000 weight?

We all work very hard to grow this great "Giant pumpkin" and we are
never recognized
for our achievements. So I put together a homepage which list the Top
1000
pumpkins ever grown. This list should mirror the 700 lbs. list, but
there are
difference which will occur.

I know, I don't have every weight, but I am collecting what I see listed
on the WPC, AGPVS and GPC sites. I might miss a few and I might have a
some duplications....but it is a start. I even saw some more weights
listed
in the book "The Perfect Pumpkin" which I need to add. I have even asked
the WPC and GPC for old data to update my list but they have not
responded.
I will purchase old newsletters with pumpkin weights, if someone would
like to
support my efforts.

This is all in fun.

This list is not bounded by GPC or WPC rules...it is a FUN page. I will
not add
a pumpkin that is total mush, but a hole does not bother me. I don't
care if
was weighed it in September versus October. If it gets weighed and
falls within
the Top 1000, I will add it.

I still need to review Gus's and Rays Newsletters in Feb 98 to add even
more
pumpkin weights. It will be a matter of time before the Top 1000 will
be
700 lbs and above. So far, I have 268 pumpkins above 700 lbs.
