Re: By-By Pumpkin

Tim,

I just wanted to tell you that yesterday I told my mom about the pumpkin
snatching and, ironically, she decided to light up her big ghost and pumpkin
that sit at the front of her house (for my kiddos)--a few hours later it was
GONE. I couldn't believe it. She lives in a very nice neighborhood--very
high class with all kinds of restrictions on your fences, displays, brick,
cars sitting in the front of the house, etc.... she just felt so defeated.
What's scary is that I couldn't help thinking that we were so unaware they
could have been looking in the house and us not even know it (you know, she
has those big ol' windows with drapey things going around them but no "real"
curtains). I really hate to bother you with this, but how do you suggest we
handle this? She got so saddened by it (she got the ghost for my little
ones- 3 and 5 years old) that she has totally decided to do nothing--esp.
since (she says) they are about to retire and move away. I just don't
understand how people can totally ignore the lives of others in this way--do
they not even think that some sweet child might look forward to seeing that
ghost every day? Do they not care? Do they think they are cute pulling
these idiotic stunts? It just makes me ill. I knew you guys would
understand since all these pumpkin robberies have been going on. And, by the
way Tim, congrats on your display!!! I am so glad you have been so lucky
with your gorgeous Hallowe'en decor!

Kristina
