Hi Everyone,
I have officially made arrangements to pull seeds from Jabba this
Thursday. Gauging from the number of seeds extracted from my other two
pumpkins I feel I have a pretty good handle on the number of seeds I
should have available from my 977.
I will try and fill all requests with a minimum of one seed, depending on
the number of seeds and requests I may be able to send 2 or more. Please
understand there are only so many seeds and many people, I would like to
spread them around the best I can. If I find disaster in the pumpkin,
germinated seeds, rot etc., I will post the number of seeds available and
it will have to be first come first served when there gone there gone!
I will also have seeds available from my 815 lb. Half Moon Bay pumpkin,
697Ciliberto X 1006 Greer. As many of you are aware the 697 Ciliberto grew
Mr. Bill Greers incredible 1006 lb. pumpkin last year and did very well for
me this year. Finally, I will also have seeds available from my 634lb.
squash which took first place at the Dixon weigh off in the squash
category. This is the 449 Marcellus X 1006 Greer. While it produced a
squash for me, it did produce many beautifully shaped pumpkins with good
color. Mr. Joe Sherber set the new Colorado State Record with the 449
Marcellus seed. I must warn you be prepared for a squash or a pumpkin based
on my experience! Seeds from this pumpkin are all white and very large.
I would ask that if you live in the United States please send me a Self
Address Stamped Bubble Pack Envelope. Medium size is better than small so I
may include additional information. What seed or seeds you would like me to
send you would be helpful!
For those of you outside the United States please send me an e-mail or
letter with your address. I will have to purchase return packaging and
postage from the United States. If you would like to help by including
costs for postage this would be appreciated.
The seeds will require 4 to 6 weeks to dry. This will put me into the month
of December during the height of the Christmas Mailing Crush. As I do not
want any ones seeds destroyed or damaged I will mail seeds out during the
months of January and February.
Happy Haunting!
