I think that we now have sufficient evidence that a need exists for a
national committment to curtail pumpkin theft. I may be calling on several
of you in the very near future to secure support for this most worthy
project. I have contacted my Congressional Representative and he has stated
that although this national disgrace has just surfaced it should be "Nipped
in the Bud". I have three congressional staffers currently writing a draft
proposal to be introduced shortly. Anyone that can provide any statistical
information to help support this effort please feel free to respond.
Should we establish a website for stolen pumpkins?
Should we attempt to ID our fruit with Tattoos, or Microchip Inplants?
These recent events have certainly opened up a whole new dimension to the
world of the Great Atlantic Giant Pumpkin.
Dang, I love this Listserve.
