Yes, it is true that people should look at the size of the file before
sending it off to any mailing list. Some mailing list have a incoming
mailing size limits where it is deleted before it is submitted to the
group.
Yes, it is better to send a graphic via .gif or .jpg versus a .bmp. But
if you have problems with this mailing list and sick and tired of
reading the same old BS, I recommend unsubscribing from the group and
reading the pumpkin mailing list via the archives.
Every morning, I go to the archive page and view the subjects I want to
read. The archive does not allow large graphics, but it creates a nice
link for downloading of a separate URL. The archive can be viewed in a
thread manner like the subject "The Biggest" or it can be view by the
author, like "Chris Andersen" or by the date which a posting has been
submitted. I prefer the date thread.
In addition, the pumpkin mailing list is not designed that only
subscribers are aloud to post to the list. I am not a subscriber, but a
reader of the archives. I can still post to the mailing list without
receiving any mail.
Does it cost anything? NO
Is it quick? YES
I have no idea how your ISP works and what the cost to view the net
versus e-mail, but I would recommend unsubscribing and view the archive
if you are unsatisfied with the quality of postings this group
provides.
This mailing list is a very fun and happy group of people. Get ready,
Hockey is starting.....
