Pumpkin People:
The dust has not yet settled on the patch and the online battle begins. I read
the post from Farmer Gus and another post stating that the prizes at Clarence
were less than expected. I was depressed enough at my rather small groundhog
reject (ate everything else) but to contemplate winter starting out with these
posts appearing so early in the season may be more than a 1998 loser can
stand. Where is Pumpkin Witch? Already I am in need of either psychotherapy of
a positive spell from the "Witch." Maybe Pumpkin Flower can help? I will need
more than a poem to lift my spirits. All I have to show for this year are some
dynamite seeds for next year. Ray Waterman told me my seeds I sent to him have
been doing well. I have more and only wish this was May so I could begin. I
saw where Chris Andersen had a 444 pound pumpkin this year after a 977 last
time out. Since I had 444 this year will I come up with 977 next?
