If the demand is high and the supply is low, then the price goes up. I don't
blame you or Al for trying to profit from agricultural export. Be careful
though, If you spread the best seed around freely and the knowledge of growing
them, then in the future they may buy from someone who sells and ships for
less.
In 1966 I had a turtle selling business. I supplied TG&Y stores in Clinton,
MS with greenback red eared sliders. They paid 25 cents a turtle. Other kids
asked me why I was catching so many turtles. I told them I was selling them
to the TG&Y. Soon every kid in the neighborhood was doing it and I lost
sales. I should have kept my mouth shut.
Yall have it good up there. Long sunlit summer days and cool temperatures
produce the really big ones. I bet they would grow nicely in Manchuria.
