Group,
I want to personally extend my congratulations to
all my northern friends who have won weigh-offs or
participated in one. My local weigh-off isn't until the
30th and 31st of this month, but I'll be there. I look
forward to it with shakey anticipation. Thanks to all
who have helped me through this season with seeds
and advice (especially when I screwed up somewhere).
Next year will be better, I believe, for all of us. My
personal best is estimated at 172 lbs. (Weeks Seed Co.)
and a little further back is the Castellucci 410 which
is at 151 lbs. This has been very exciting for me and
I've always looked forward to all the posts on the list. I've
really learned a lot and thank you all. Thanks to Bryan
Wuest for the advice on using 2 teaspoons of Dawn
dishwashing liquid per gallon of water to combat powdery
mildew, and I think the group should also take advantage
of this (I used 3-1/2 teaspoons due to the severity of the
infection). This works great and saves you a lot of money.
Thanks again to all. I'll try to stay on the list until Uncle
Sam decides to nail me. Do keep in touch.
