Altoona Weighoff



What a delightful day! ...full of great people and great pumpkins.  Very 
well organized - even when all the southerners rolled in mid-morning and 
messed up the weighing order a little bit!  

A good time was had by all!  My family and I had a great time, my Mom 
and Dad had a great time, Zoo had a good time, the Morrells had a good 
time, and POV had such a good time that his enthusiasm for the list 
seems to have returned!  Welcome back, Patrick, we missed you!

I also would like to address a now-famous lurker on the list.  "Larry in 
Spangler", you've got to stop lurking.  Answer some questions!  Tell us 
what you know!  After that 815 appearance, you've got to get a little 
more vocal.

Now, another little matter... I know Lubadub prefers to avoid 
controversy, but I have a small confession to make...  We've all heard 
the stories about people sneaking water into their pumpkins for the 
weighoff.  Well, my conscience won't let me rest until I ‘fess up.  
That's right, folks, I pumped my pumpkin full of helium!  That Rado 261 
needs to be disqualified...  Minus the helium, I think it would have 
been about 815.5!  (Bob Marcellus, eat your heart out.)

Seriously, our hats are off to Marv Meisner and the PGPGA for a grand 
event!
