While I dont pretend to understand everything you suggested, I think it
might also be interesting to look at El Nino...It seems to me that the hot
summer, like this one was, produced less really big pumpkins, at least here
in WI... The heat seems to have exploded them. Perhaps when La Nina wears
off, and cooler summers return, we will see another rapid yearly
rise....just a thought.
