Manure, leaves, grass clippings, compost, cover crop, soil test, so much
to do, so little time. Probably soil test should be done first then 
whatever you do will show up in your spring test. Manure is probably
the best to use now especially if it is fresh, this will give it plenty
of time to decay until spring. If your neighbors are too close then use
composted manure. Leaves should be mulched first, they will decay much
faster. If you use a lot of manure (as I do) a cover crop is not needed
and may make your patch untillable until spring after it soaks up some
rain, by that time your cover crop may make it untillable. If you pick 
up the lime bag slap your hand and put it back down till you get your
soil test results. 

Be patient, spring will be here before you know it(ya right).
