You may also like to try Kodak QuickPics ? I understand this service
replaces the Photo CD but is cheaper probably around $1.00 a photo and gives
excellent quality from the negative.
You would then need to reduce the resolution to around 72 dpi and convert to
GIF or JPEG for web use but that should be relatively easy.

I have taken Pics to a local computer, copy business in our area and they
scanned pics and I gave them a disk. The price was about $2-3 per pic. Not
bad. Look in the Yellow pages.
