It was still a good year even with all the heartbreak with the splitting in
August. I learned an awful lot from the excessive growth the pumpkins had
during that stretch and feel good about next year. 4 of my top 9 pumpkins
came from the two sites that I had double planted. 4 of my top 9 came from
the 2 seeds that were white. Only one pumpkin out of 3 plants came from the 2
sites that I used sifted cow poop in. 8 of the top 9 weighed at least 10%
heavy for their measurements, and the 9th was so irregular shaped that
measurements were tossed anyway, which must mean 'it' worked.
Take Care all, and I'm out to the patch to start on the 1999 season,
Brett The Pumpkinguru Hester
