RE: world class cross
Here is an idea that I have thought of that may yeild some very
desirable seeds. I am working on developing a method to hold plants
over from year to year. It would be great to hold the plants that
grew this year's 1000+ lb. pumpkins. Then next year cross between
them. I am not sure how possible this may be for this year's champs
being how bussy they are, but it is an idea. In particular I was
thinking of a 935 x 946.5 cross involving the plants that grew the
1131 and 1009. If a rooted cutting can be obtained, I would be glad
to hold the plants over at my place for future reference. Just an
idea.

Nic-sorry,no chance on the 1009.5 plant.Tim Canniff thououghly tilled those
800 sq ft yesterday.
Are you going to take rooted cuttings from your own plants and test/refine
the technique this winter?
