Re: concave bottom


Scott, I noticed the same thing and also noticed that that walls were not as 
thick in this area.  I think the pumpkin adapts this way to make itself 
stronger.  I also had ideas of growing a pumpkin in a lit and digging out 
the dirt underneath or growing it on a waterbed but I think nature may have 
something on this concave bottom.  Or maybe not.  But I don't think I am 
going to risk my future pumpkins experimenting until I get some good 
evidence.
