Thought I would re-post my Question?
For some in-put...It is getting quite cool here and have had to start
fall patch prep...already...
Does any-one know the effects of lye on soil...?
Thankyou.
I was told I could put LYE on my patch this fall to kill off the
cucumber beetles eggs the lye would burn them......and traces of the lye
would be gone by spring....and so should the eggs for 2000. Any -one
know any-thing about this....I know my grandmother used it
outdoors...for their outhouses...never seemed to bother the grass. I
had a major infestation this year and was diligent on my
spraying...nothing worked...has any-one a well guarded secret they would
like to share...on these pests. Deborah ...
..................Ps. thankyou Beth...
