 Bob-a VERY nice looking 308..like a smaller version of Castellucci's682.4 on 
page118 of pumpkins 2........if I recall correctly...that was from Holland 
680? by self?................................I spread manuer and the summers 
compost and till it in in the fall,plant winter rye after that and send out a 
soil sample for testing.If my ph needs to be fixed I'll know it in November 
and try and treat it immediately so it'll be corrected for spring.Recheck for 
ph in spring...should be close.
 I never compost the leaves or vines...why risk it? Borers,fungus,mosaic 
virus.....my compost pile never gets hot enough in the winter to do any real 
killing...hefty bags and/or a couple trips to the dump usually does it for 
me..........GlennA
