Re: A few things
"Barn lime" probably refers to "agricultural" lime, which
is just raw powdered limestone, and what you want for your
patch. Your lawn lime is likely the agricultural lime. the
other common lime is "hydrated" lime, or "builders" lime.
It is whiter, hotter, and not what you want for your
garden, it is used as an addative to mortar or plaster to
make it more workable.
