Surprise Visitor
Last week I received a call from Bruce Orchard (Utah record holder). His
son had recently moved to Rochester and he was in town visiting. He had
seen my name on the web and gave me a call to discuss growing AG
pumpkins. Had Bruce stop over and he gave me some valuable tips in
preparing the soil for the pumpkin plants and a schedule in which to
apply different fertilizers in the summer. His family also stopped by
and looked at all the pumpkins in our driveway. I place all the pumpkins
from my 12 plants that I do not give away or sell in my driveway -- that
is still quite a few pumpkins.
My thanks to Bruce for giving me a call and in giving me some tips in
pumpkin growing. I really appreciated it.
