sad sad day in Iowa!!!

Most of you already know about the dismal year we had here in Iowa.
(so I won't bore you with that). But today, alot of pride was swallowed,
as Beth and I each carried a rather large field pumpkin through the
checkout counter at our local grocery store!!!
It seems like only a few days ago when visions of 600# or maybe 700
(I'm a realist) danced through my head. Now today, the harsh reality of
nothing to harvest has hit!!!! Can't wait till halloween is over and
then I'll rest easy with new dreams of 700# dancing in my
head!!!!!!!!!!
