pumpkin growers 5, thieves 0 !!!

After having our baby stolen last year, this season we had a strategy! The big one is on a trailer where it can be put away at night, and we left all the baby giants lining the side of the driveway.
Since it has been rather warm lately, the babies started to break down(something not readily visible to the casual observer).
This morning we awoke to find evidence of an attempted theft last night. Clearly hands went right through as evidenced by small clumps of rotten flesh flung off as someone would when trying to shake off their hands, and one which may not have looked so bad, made it to the street, where it appears to have fallen apart!! I would love to know what their cloths looked and smelled like!
The mess is well worth cleaning up, as the thieves finally got theirs!
