Oregon Obituary at #986
Well, once again murphy's law rules. I went to measure the big squash and
found a soft spot. 161 x 98 x 101 also know now as the unofficial #986
Hester squash. It wasn't a split, but a rot spot that went through on a
scratched area. It was on my #1 900.8 Lyons 94 plant and crossed with my #2
900.8 plant. Ironically, just last week I wanted to see where it ranked
according to the estimated weight, well now I know. We all looked at the
weight and I cried and cussed. Now I just hope the last one holds until Oct.
7th. If it does and weighs good it could offically hit the wonder number.
Time to go dry those seeds,
