Indiana Update
Hello Group,
Well my quest for a big one is over. I had a sproule 968 that was
135x86x83 Estimated 566 lbs. That rotted on me. Not sure exactly why. I had
a small stem split but it didn't go clear to the cavity. The bottom was
pretty well rotted so I think I had a crack on the bottom. It stopped
growing a couple of weeks ago so I kind of thought I was doomed. It put on
470 lbs in August and then quit. Oh well there is always next year. I still
have one to take to the weigh-off but it is a lot smaller. The biggest I
ever had before this year was 342. So at least I am making progress. I did
get 400 good seeds out of it. I crossed it with a Bobier 723. Well good
luck to everyone out there and hope to see some big ones at the IPGA
weigh-off.
