compost
Hello everyboday. First of all I would like to thank all of you for the
advice you have given me this year. I may not have sent a lot of emails but
in your messages I learned a lot. This being my first year I did a bit of
experimenting and testing with different things. I was hoping for a 200
pounder but right now it weighs and estimated 130. I have just recently won
a battle with powdery mildew but I am losing one with cucumber beetles. I
plan to compete this eyar in the jr. division at the norfolk county fair. I
guess I should stop rambling and get to my question. My father and I just
dug up 14 large bags of compost we plan to use on next years plant. I was
wondering if compost nutrients are readily available to the plant or if they
have to be further broken down into the soil in order for the plant to use
them.
Thanks for your time, Jamie
