Lorie,
Fret not for lack of praise or recognition. Ask not for acknowledgment or
gift. Now is the time to stand up, work hard and be vigilant. We have so
much and have been so blessed that we sometime forget that we are not an
island. The freedoms we cherish and the liberties we share are not our
weakness but our strength. This country, its people and all the ideals it
stands for must be preserved and protected, for all the world to see.
Know in your heart that many, many people around the world do appreciate
the kindness and support America has shown and will continue to show when
we can. So Lorie, when you can, do what you can, not because you may get
something in return, but because you are an American, and there is work
to be done.
