Kathie,

Bury those pumpkins! As long as they have the winter to thoroughly
decompose, it's fine. I buried about 1000 lbs of pumpkin in an 8x8' area,
planted 2 plants in that spot the following spring, and wound up with a 309
lber and a 274 lber off vines growing across the lawn with less than 5 hrs
of sun per day.
