Greg,
Nah this is a weigh-off I started 5 years ago this year over 30 pumpkins
this year . Over 200 hundred sign-up for seed and its getting out of
control.
Nice ribbons ....monies down to 15th
Mystery spot 17 pays 100.00
All that enter are automatically entered in a 100.00 drawing.
As for the mystery mess on my pumpkin the jury is still out raccoon or fox.
i had a pair of foxes that would hunt quail and birds amongst the leaves
last year...............but upon reluctant examination I found a few AG
seeds from some of my rotting pumpkins in the fecal matter.......so I am
leaning towards raccoon.
but I shave my head and scattered the hair around and that seemed to
reclaim my territory....................the draw back is that the pumpkin
is so wide that I have place my face near the smelly zone so to speak to
get a measurment and its been hell. Can't wait til the weigh-offs need a
breath of fresh air.
