Re: It's been done before!!!

Sorry in my mine it wouldn't count and I wouldn't get it weighed until it
had a crack or whatever. People ask me what is my personal best and I say
1020, the 1058 UOW I grew in my mind doesn't count for squat.Again we all
should be playing on a even playing field here and in my area that is a
fruit only counts when its weighed on Oct 5th. I could take it to a local
fair thjis weekend or the next, there is about 5 in my area before Oct 5th
and I wouldn't dream of getting it weighed before that date. Yes I could
take the safe bet but it wouldn't count, and I couldn't care about the money
either. Last year when I broke 1000 pounds at Port Elgin, I didn't care that
I was in first place, the sense of accomplishment was the biggest high and I
was so happy it brought tears to my eyes. So by weighing something early you
are cheating yourself because those are not the guidelines set out by your
area.I am worried about some of the ribs on my current pumpkin but that is
part of the game and I could take the easy way out and get it weighed right
now but in my eyes thats cheating, if it goes down oh well thats part of the
game. I could push the hell out of it and get it weighed early but what have
I accomplished NOTHING IT DOESN'T COUNT.
