I think the list has stagnated somewhat, especially since many of the heavier hitters who have participated seem to have burned out. Over the years there have been some amazingly technical and inspiring exchanges, in addition to lots of solid, simple advice on the basics. Use that search engine! You can find just about anything you need.
By the way, I had trouble accessing the archives this morning. It's possible that it was down temporarily or had some intermittent problems. It seems to be fine this evening, though.
