Brad please think.. ...you have put alot of work
into your organization and I commend you.... but you just answered your own
question regarding Tom's pumpkin....( do you think it should count if its oozing
fluid at a stead rate while still on the scales)....come on Brad you didn't draw
that conclusion then, you were right there apparently from the e-mail you sent
the list...... ??? Tom's not part of this....someone else decided and he
excepted it .....it stands and live with it....read rule 7 and 8
GPC....especially rule 8.....the judges reserve the right to fully inspect each
specimen before the weight is annouced and official. Refusal to allow the
inspection of an entry will cause said entry to be deemed EXHIBITION
ONLY....Brad you and any other IPGA board member there should have known
this...could have pointed it out..especially if this site was an IPGA
affiliate..look last year in Ottawa a pumpkin was brought to the weigh-off that
was borderline pumpkin or squash.the grower asked for it to be classified if I
remember correctly....the judges ruled it pumpkin...I am sure some growers
thought different....decision was final....should they now take back the
call.... let me see the 1260 Weir was judged a pumpkin....hmmm....heard all
kinds of opinions on that decision...I saw a picture ( all pumpkin to me)...if
others thought it was a squash tough, the judges decided....all I see by the
IPGA decision is to take away from Tom's moment....sad day...wayne
