Re: Bigun Down

Don,

Congratulations on growing such a large pumpkin! I personally would trade
a 1000 pounder that goes down for my typical 300 pounder anyday.

Get it weighed as soon as possible. If there is absolutely no fair or event
possible, ask around to round up a scale and get it weighed anyway. Then
when you list the pumpkin you would just have an EXH after the name, for
example it would called the "1001 Chambers 2003 EXH".

If you can't get it weighed, then it would be EST, for estimated.

Something that all real growers want to know.... what seed did you grow this
with?

Regards, Cliff

List,
What does one do when he grows a 1000+lb. pumpkin and it gets a blossom end
split in early Aug. but puts on another 400+lbs. after a couple beads of
liquid nail, holds together looks seemingly fine until this AM when it starts
getting soft under the blossom end? I know.....:( How may I make the best of
such an experience or at least get an honorable mention in a state record, or
get this thing weighed as close as possible if there's no contest till the
24th...and such...any ideas could only help me feel better about now.
