Oklahoma New State Records
This is a list of the New State Records for Oklahoma that I have been able
to set this week. I just got back from the Local County Fair with most of our
stuff. Luck has it they do not have categories for Giant Pumpkins or Giant
Squash but I left them there under the field pumpkin category after we had
gotten certified weights at a local Peanut Company who had the only certified
scales around. Got a First place on the Pumpkin and a Third place on the
Squash, they gave the Second place to a field pumpkin that weighed less than 5
lbs.
Pumpkin
539 lbs (575 Simmons Female Selfed) Beat last years very first record set by
Tiffany at 317 lbs.
Squash
490 lbs (821 Garrell Selfed) Very First Established Record for Oklahoma for
Giant Squash
Cantaloupe
43.5 lbs (41.5 Lehman open pollinated)
