Subject: Atlantic Giant.... slow growth?

I am new to this but this is my second season and I havn't ever really
known
what to do. I only got one last year and it was about 100 lbs, which was
still the biggest I ever grew. This year I have about 5 ranging from 2lbs
to
40lbs and I don't know what I am doing wrong or not doing in order to get
them
to grow the 30-40lbs a day that I have heard of. These seeds came from a
500lb Atlantic Giant that I bought from a guy in Grafton Twp to get me
started
on the whole thing.
I guess I also need to know is there a shelf life and should I try another
kind of seed.
Thanks in advance
Jesse
