Every year that I've grown our array of heirloom pumpkins, I have never, no
can't say ever, encountered the beetles that we've seen!
Everything from japanese, squash, cucumber, mexican, you name it, they've
landed in our patch, including vine borer!
I've sprayed and sprayed again, the "bliss" seem to be unaffected by these
evil insects, but I shouldn't say anything, I shudder to look tomorrow.
In any case, I remember reading somewhere, after I harvest what's left of
course, that I need to do something for these infected beds as I don't want
ANY of these insects next year.
Does anyone have any suggestions other than a cover crop?
Thanks.
Beth
