dying leaves

My leaves are getting large brown spots and are dry. Is it old age?? Some
also
have white spots which I believe are olg age since they are closest to
the
stump. Could i have over fertalized? We have had some rain so I don't
think it
is due to lack of water. If I keep cutting them off, I won't have
any vines or
leaves left, leading to the question of when to cut the leaves
and vines,
regardless of health.
